I've always just used Power Service, Hot Shot's, FPPF or Stanadyne. I have heard mixed things about Howe's but don't know anyone who has had problems with it.

I'm a little old school but unless I need a serious cleaning I use a few ounces of 2-stroke oil every fill up.

How's it coming along find out anything else on it?

I've retested everything. Checked resistance at valve covers, 42 pin. Inspected all wiring and everything looks good. Took both valve covers off. Everything is connected tight and looked good. Re torqued injector hold down bolts and rocker arm pedestals. Confirmed I have oil coming from injectors while running. Unplugged injectors one at time while running and it stumbled pretty bad on each of them. Changed cps to dark blue one and I really noticed a quieter idle and tad bit more throttle response. Still have that random SES light in the morning. I Don't think it's storing anything because all it showed was the general p1316 for idm. I just replaced all my instrument cluster light bulbs and swapped the SES plug for a different one. Just to see if that plug/bulb had a short. I don't know what else to check. I'm wanting to drop the tank and do the hutch/harpoon mod and maybe that will fix it. IDk. 250k miles and I bet this tanks never been cleaned.

I've wanted to do the hutch mod for a long time now just haven't had time, going to do it soon though as my truck needs a new fuel tank, lines, pump and injectors.

Riffraff makes a new High-volume fuel pickup that looks pretty sweet.

I believe That P1316 code the PCM shows is just telling you there are codes in the IDM. Have you had a KOEO self test done? The IDM is fairly crude and can only put out history in KOEO self test, not the KOEO Buzz test.

Ya that is the idm code. I did do a KOEO test and it passed.

Is DTC P1316 persistent without any IDM DTCs?

You might want to try and generate IDM DTC's

Disconnect one fuel injector connector. Start the engine to generate IDM DTCs.
Perform the KOEO Injector Electrical self-test and the KOEO On-Demand self-test.
If no IDM DTCs are present then your IDM is most likely bad. If there are IDM DTCs present the your PCM might be bad providing all electrical wiring, connectors, fuses and what not are confirmed to be working properly.

Well I might have screwed something up. I checked armature clearance on all injectors. 4 of them were loose. Could move armature plate with my fingers. Tightened them down like an idiot and let the armature plate turn while tightening them. Now truck won't start warm. Will start great cold. If it's warm it will just crank and crank. Did I ruin my injectors?
