99 7.3 PSD 290k Mysterious Forest Green Oil Issue
I got my first Powerstroke on 4/29/14 w/ 287,300 miles. My daily driver. 99 7.3 crew cab dually 2WD with the Zf6. I put a clutch in it, glow plugs, EBP sensor. But thats it. It had black black black oil when I purchased it. But I just got around to changing it here on 6/6/14. I just randomly felt the need to check my oil today 6/22/14. Level is a "tad" bit above the MAX spot. (it was perfect last week) But I come to find its a DARK black/green, like forest green color. And EXTREMELY thin and bubbly. The truck runs perfect. Doesn't smoke, doesn't hesitate (that I know, it is my first powerstoke) performs well at high rev's and pulls 8,000 lbs without sweating. ALL Stock truck, NOTHING altered or modded. 290,500 miles as of today. I searched and found issues/threads similar. But nothing exact. Its got me stumped. It's my 59th vehicle (I buy/fix/resell in my spare time) and have never came across something exactly like this. I hope I'm not victim to block or pump cav. This was supposed to be my biggest flip, but I have a feeling it's going to be my biggest flop.
Help me out guys?
Thanks

I would say you have antifreeze going into the oil. Antifreeze most commonly used is green. I would STOP running it. This could be caused by a cracked head or cracked cylinder walls. I think they make a dye that you can drop into the antifreeze and then when it mixes. You should see it on the oil dip stick with a black light sort of thing.
