I would go with a AFE intake but that's just me. There isn't much to an intake so it should be fine.
Rbp is usually really expensive but its your money.

Go with a TS chip with tuning from grearhead. Bully dog isn't custom tuning and won't run the injectors right, especially if you get single shots.

Head studs aren't bad insurance but you probably shouldn't need then.

Lots of people love the stealth pumps.

Personally I would go with hybrids over the stage 2s. They will require a lot less oil and can be tuned to run however you want.

I would either get a 38R or step up to a T4 kit with an S366

What stage would you go with for the AFE intake?

I would do the ford ais intake that uses the Donaldson filter
dp tuner f6
pis injectors
terminator hpop
arp studs
gtp38r turbo
bellowed up pipes
4" turbo back exhaust

that's what I have and I don't crave for anything else!!!

Default Ford/Donaldson AIS vs. S&B cold air intake (?)

Hello All;
I have a 2001 7.3 PSD, ZF 6 speed, 4x4. The only mods on the truck now is a 4" exhaust. I would like to run a chip or programmer and a cold air intake.
I am undecided about the Ford/Donaldson AIS intake or the S&B unit (?) Also, I have a source for a used SCT SF3 3 position programmer. I am not sure of prograammers for an auto trans versus the manual trans I have.
I do not tow, race or hot rod the truck, but do haul a camper for vacations, etc.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

I prefer the S&B or AFE intakes. Before you run a chip you need gauges, especially since you tow with it. As for more power a TS chip with custom tuning is what you want over the SCT.

Do that riff raff diesel 6637 intake system it's the only way to go on a 7.3 I believe and I would go with DP tuner for sure and a T4 setup with S366 or bigger depending on what kind of injectors you get I would do something like 250/200% from swamps diesel and your gonna want to get an AIRDog fuel system to support that

Unless he is wanting 550hp there is no need to do that. The S366 is to small for 250/200s, and those are not a good tow injector. From the sounds of it he just wants a little extra power for towing. So any custom tuning besides DP will get him that. If he wants a little extra a set of 160cc is all you need for towing safely. Then you have to figure in tranny mods
