Default Help with surge!

I haven't been on for a while. I haven't had any problems until now.. I pulled a trailer weighing 10-12000 a few days ago 750 miles, and I started having BAD surge. I was told with the turbo I have, and the setup I currently have, I should never have a problem. I haven't for 5000 miles.. Can y'all help me out is to why this is happening? None of the diesel shops have a clue.. Everything done to the truck is listed below... Thanks! Oh I forgot to mention, it only surges between 1825-1950 RPM

S&B intake, 5 inch turbo back exhaust, GTP38R turbo, custom tunes are the engine mods. I am also maxing out on boost at 26 PSI.. shouldn't I be hitting over 30?

That's what I have seen today as well. When I first got the turbo I was told that it would not surge at all, which is why I got it. Would you have any idea why it is happening under a load?

Dumb question.. What intake wheel is it turning... If there is a possibility that it was given a "stock" wheel. Bent fin on the intake wheel.
I understand that WW 1 can give a serge on high boost with large payload on an upgraded turbo. Though the WW 2 is not "Suppose to" serge.
The next thing I would ask/look into. Exhaust brake. Aftermarket, EBPV mod, etc.
After that. Small tear in a intake tube boot that would be "flapping" with boost pressure.

I did not say it was a stock turbo. I asked if they installed the wrong intake wheel. Or if something may have buggered it up..

Unless whoever built the turbo was an idiot they did not put the wrong wheel on it. The 38R is a 66mm stock is 56ish
