Help with surge!
I haven't been on for a while. I haven't had any problems
until now.. I pulled a trailer weighing 10-12000 a few days ago 750 miles, and I started having BAD surge. I was told with the turbo I have, and the setup I currently have, I should never have a problem. I haven't for 5000 miles.. Can y'all help me out is to why this is happening? None of the diesel shops have a clue.. Everything done to the truck is listed below... Thanks! Oh I forgot to mention, it only surges between 1825-1950 RPM

S&B intake, 5 inch turbo back exhaust, GTP38R turbo, custom tunes are the engine mods. I am also maxing out on boost at 26 PSI.. shouldn't I be hitting over 30?

That's what I have seen today as well. When I first got the turbo I was told that it would not surge at all, which is why I got it. Would you have any idea why it is happening under a load?
Dumb question.. What intake wheel is it turning... If there is a possibility that it was given a "stock" wheel. Bent fin on the intake wheel.
I understand that WW 1 can give a serge on high boost with large payload on an upgraded turbo. Though the WW 2 is not "Suppose to" serge.
The next thing I would ask/look into. Exhaust brake. Aftermarket, EBPV mod, etc.
After that. Small tear in a intake tube boot that would be "flapping" with boost pressure.
