Default stuck tailgate
can anyone tell me how to unstick a ford tailgate, the lock is unlocked but I can't get it open. got it open last time and oiled it up but now I can't get it to release

I have to stand on the bumper pull on the latch & lift up for my tailgate to open

thanks, I've tried prying all diff ways and even hit it with my sledgehammer but it wont budge. if I can get it down I will put a net across and eliminate the tailgate , still no luck

Remove the handle and try to pull both rods inward toward each other...
