Default trans temp gauge

hello im looking to buy an autometer pillar gauge pod and am undecided on either the 2 gauge pod with boost and egt or the 3 pod with trans temp egt and boost. the reason im wondering is that I read that the trans temp is a must but my truck has trans temp and im wondering if I need an autometer that shows actual temp or if the stock one is sufficient. I just bought my first truck its a 02 7.3 lariat I want to make sure I set it up right. thanks in advance for any and all opinions and knowlage

Exactly. the gauge is reading what the actual tranny temp is, it is reading what the PCM tells it the tranny temp is. Not Accurate At All. And also, you want a gauge with actual numbers, not colors right.
