So just got me the TS 6 position chip on the truck. each tune works great but when im on the 6 settin which is the 140 hp i can run it hard at first but then it sounds like turbo is losin power and truck is losin power also. This is a little over 3000 rpm. But i let off the throttle and ease back into it and its fine? Any ideas?

 

do yo uhave a boost leak anywhere or is the wastegate opening up?

For example.. i was doin a burn out earlier and it did it then and truck just shut off? it crunk right back up though. Maybe not enough fuel or dirty filter or somethin?

yeah early 99 7.3. and i ran it when first hooked it up and it did it so i thought id unhook the wastegate to see if anything changed and didnt change a thing. and no leaks that i know of. when i step on it boost will get about 20 psi

 

could very well be pushing the HPOP past its limits

 

So only way to fix this would be to upgade the HPOP? Or is there any smaller mods i could do to help the issue?

 

You need to be able to read the ICP to know for sure. But if it is because of the hpop you need a larger one

 

Got a buddy who said he might would sell me his adrenaline hpop.. only a couple months old but how are they?
