Default 02 7.3 F350 Running sluggish to fail. now no start

The other day i was working and driveing my truck from site to site like normal, but when i went up a steep incline it felt like it was a lot weaker pulling the same trailor that i always do. I kept about my day like normal, and noticed it felt weak again when merging on interstate and strugeling to get up to 65mph highway speed. once at speed seemed to be ok. when close to home truck felt weaker and weaker untill i was down shifting and droping gears at wot to make it off the road. I had similar issues before where my uvch came loose, but being along side the road my tools were limited so i could only reconnect the old harness. Thinking that this was again the issue i bought a new harness for each side and replaced them, but yet i still have a no start issue and its still sitting along the road way. It cranks over plenty fast enough as the starter and both batteries are only about a month old. when it cranks theres a few times where it seems like it wants to start but dont. I dont have a scanner, and its my work truck so its pretty much stock. no chip. Oil was changed about 600 miles ago. (last weekend) This is my first diesel and i owned it for about a year now. Im stumped and any help would be greatly apprecieated.

By oil if the case, not sure what you mean. Ive checked the dip stick and oil level is fine. I do not know how to check oil in the hpop, and fuel is 1/4 of a tank. I will be going back to truck in about an hour. Ive been reading around. I want to check that theres fuel in the bowl, and if my tach moves when trying start. I can check oil in hpop if i can find how to do it. Also note that there is no cel and my wait to start light works as normal.

Yes, i meant oil level in the crankcase.

For the HPOP res, there is a little plug right on top of the reservoir, either a square or allen plug. Just pull that and stick a straw or something in there. Needs to be within an inch of the top.

Update. Hpop uas oil. I opened up bowl and it was about 1/3 full. Screen on bowl cap looked little cloged and was sludge on bottom of bowl. I wanted to drain fuel out but when i opened drain notting happened so i soaked it out with rag. I put filter back in and tryed to turn over and see if bowl fills back up. It did not. Bad sending unit?
TYruck has 215k i bought it used. I would like to clean and reseal bowl but i want to get it home first. Only 2the miles away.
I am getting some fuel to manualy fill bowl and see if it starts. Am i heading in right direction?

Sounds like the fuel pump quit on you.

Should be able to get one from Auto zone or such for about $150. It mounted to the frame directly below the drivers door.

If the bowl is not filling on its own, you dont have fuel pressure. Check the fuel pressure. Should be 55-70psi.

2002 and newer trucks do not show cranking on the RPM gauge, even with a good or bad CPS.

Its not your CPS.

Got it runnimg. Dumped the rest of the gallon of fuel in tanl and shook trucl pretty good. It. Idlealed like uhvc was ba then shut off. Restarted and streched my leg a bit. Smoked bad then eventuall smoothed out. Truck vibrated bad at about 1.3k rpms. Drove it home and it felt very weak. Now im able to work on it but dont no where to really start

im thinking my in tank pump was/still is clogged. its a new tank because the old one had some serious delamination issues, but i just switched tanks and nothing more. not sure if i should get a new one or if they are a servicable/cleanable part? I found a how to video for resealing the fuel bowl, so im gonna order new o-rings and clean that up real good.
