Tuner or not?
Hey y'all,
I have a 2002 f250 7.3 with 176,000 on it. Everything is pretty much stock. never had a new transmission. The guy i bought it from ran a super chip just for towing. The truck has no gauges. I am thinking about installing gauges and running the chip full time. is it worth it since the truck has never had any issues and has that kind of miles on it? i don't want to start having problems if i use the chip.

boost gauge but not a must. pyro is the expensive lil thing! i have a boost and a pyro guage i'd sell actually. stewart werner guage. black i believe. nice gauges, i just never installed them. pm me. i run a dp tuner chip, i've had ts chips, and i also have edge programmer. imo, they all have advantages and disadvantages. you'll be happy with anything. stock trucks dont cut it when you are towing!!!

go with ts i have a edge its okay but go with a ts you can get it custom burned from a dealer which means you can get custom settings on the ts im about to switch to a ts here soon . edge units are said to harm transmissions they do if you use "transmission saver" its just terrible it slams gears together but you can turn off that setting but go with ts .
