Default Lift kit??

Hey i have a 99 7.3 and Im wanting to put a 4 inch lift kit on it. I have new suspension and new leaf springs on it already tho. My question is: is there anything that I can buy that would give me the 4 inch lift without buying new leafs or suspension? Or is it just a package deal that changes many different aspects of the frame and suspension? Obviously I dont know much about a lift. Thanks for your help.

PS Its not really for off-roading but I will be playing with it

your going to have to buy new leaf springs for a 4 inch lift for the front your can put lift blocks under the rear leaf springs but you cant do that to the front its illegal in a lot of states and very unsafe to run. if you want a 4inch lift just buy the lift you really shouldnt cut corners when you do stuff like that otherwise it will come back and bite you. ive herd of guys trying to do it the cheep way and ended up ruining their trucks and spending 2-3 times the amount to fix their mistake

rough country makes a good lift kit for the money last time i checked it was 800-900 dollars just the lift. spend the money and do it right the first time

Look at Icon , they make this kit, should work great for you!! 1999 - 2004 Ford Super Duty F250 / F350 4.5" Hanger System - ICON Vehicle Dynamics You can find it cheaper, but you do get what you pay for! This will keep you stock ride and payload also.

icon makes a good lift kit and i didn't mean cut corners. i meant trying to jerry rig something to work or something like that. and i believe your payload doesn't change when your lift it if you use lift blocks. guys on here have lifted trucks and haul alot more than stock payload and they haul alot of weight on it. if i can find the pictures ill post them

Whats the difference between body lift and suspension lift...are there gaps associated with the body lift? If so that makes it an easy decision

Body lift is taller bushings that lift the body farther off the frame revealing more of the frame if thats what you mean by gaps

thats what I thought...the trucks usually have that little filler inbetween the bumper and the bottom of the tailgate and around the doors and such. I agree it doesnt look too good. So which one am I wanting for a four inch lift? Any more recommendations?

PS- I have a little problem goin on with my truck please look at my new thread and give me some advice. I bought the truck in July and have only driven it for about 4 weeks due to bad injectors. I also got told I should leave the poor diesel alone because I have no knowledge on what Im doing, but this is my first diesel and I havent had it very long at all...so cut me some slack thanks.
