sorry to hear that about the injectors and stick with diesels once you get to know how they work youll start to love it. ive seen body lifts they don't realy look good, look around rough country makes a good lift. im going to get a icon lift cant beat made in the usa. lift kids arnt that difficult to put on you just need some jack stands,wrenches,impact gun and a bottle of wd40 and a friend to help u install it . the rear will take no time at all to put on,make sure you get lift blocks for the rear it makes things so much easier. if you get a 4 inch lift your going to new new shocks which arnt hard to install just going to add to the cost of a new lift rough country makes fluid shocks for about 120 on ebay they ride alright i have some on my truck nothing special but i like them better than standard factory shocks. if you want a few inches higher you can get a 2.5 inch leveling kit and get 2.5 lift blocks on the back. if you get the lift blocks on the rear youll need some new u bolts they usually come with it. you can use factory shocks up to 3.5 inches of lift anything after 3.5 inches you'll need some new shocks. rancho makes great shocks and so does billstein. it also wouldn't hurt to get a steering stabilizer it will help tighten up your steering and help get rid of some of the "play" in the steering .
