Default Mileage advice

Ok here goes. I just bought a 2001 f250 lifted and running 35s. I know its got a few upgrades like exhaust wastegate and intake. At one time it had a programer in it but its gone now. My question is this, does anyone have advice about a programer? A friend of mine keeps ranting and raving that i need an edge juice with attitude cts stacked with mileage max. well the juice cts alone is almost a grand. seems like alot of money to spend on something i am using as a daily driver and sometimes pulling a trailer. I just want to boost my mpgs and make the truck a little more aggressive. does anyone have any advice?

not a good idea to stack units on a ford. cts is just a upgraded version of a edge juice with attitude same thing just more expensive and no on the fly shifting on the settings. i got 2-3 mpg better with cold air intake exhaust ect . edge units are good if you want some more power on a stock truck. honestly go with a 5 position switch they give you the best tunes and can be customized. if your going to keep a stock truck edge will be all you need. lota people don't like edge because if you go upgraded turbo or injectors it wont fully max your turbo/injectors

thats just my personal experience with edge and thier customer support was great too which is nice if you have a problem with it. its really up to you edge is kinda overpriced i got my for dirt cheep when i got it bought it from a buddy

Get a ts 6 position with custom tunes, if you haven't already change the fuel filter make sure tires are set proper, change all your fluids and filters. When I changed did a 6637 mod, changed the oil and filter, fuel filter, and exhaust I went from 10-12 mpg to 16-18 mpg in town. Then wen I did a custom tuned 6 position I had a constant 17 mpg in town keeping my foot out of it.

Well i found out tonight that i am getting about 13.5 mpgs. i have no plans on bigger injectors or turbo. i plan on a k&n cold air intake kit. There are so many options out there . reading reviews of the edge evolution people are claiming 20-25 mpgs. 1999stroker what is a 6637 mod?

Don't do k and n! 6637 mod is just a do it urself intake I took a piece of a rap pipe and bought a filter and made a intake like that. There's no way there getting 20-25 mugs there lying. The number 6637 is the napa. Part number for it.

Hand calculated or with the overhead?

About the best you will see without going with smaller tire sizes, lower gears (lower RPM's)...

16-18...

But mods do not make you get MPG.

Best way to calculate mpg is hand calculated. I always pump until pump stops then quit, take my miles driven by gallons used to filled.
