A rebuild of the tranny gonna cost a pretty decent penny between 3-5K, how you rebuild it is gonna determine how much horse power you want, injectors and turbo what is gonna determine that. What exactly is it you want to do to your truck?? Do you just want a lil extra horse for towin or do you want a truck that will kill anything that stands next to it??

articfox do a search on the powder coated rods for the 01-03 models. Its pretty easy to find but the info seems to be that they are quite a bit weaker and tend to break at lower levels of horse. Cant remember the exact details if I find the article again ill post.

Ranchhand that was pretty funny. Im gonna be doing towing for my business but dont know how much exactly. And I want my truck to be able to handle everyday towing with no worries. Dont know weight but I would guess between 4-8k lbs. And yes I want my truck to kill anything that stands next to it. Not really, I mean not like a ridiculous amount of horsepower and torque but Id like to be in the 450-550 range

If its going to be a tow rig I would do some ACs or a stage 1. If its a late 99 you could run a 38R for the turbo

OK well if you want that kind of horse then your gonna have to beef up the tranny, and put in injectors, at the least, but if you get into the 300-400 hp range Id think youd be happy with the way it tows, you would proably like the way it tows if you put in a decent programmer. In my high oppinon is that your buisness truck should not be your toy because toys break, you want something reliable, dependable and have good power for what you do. Thats my oppinon. Because I plan on making my toy a Fummins when I get the money and time. So ill make that truck kill anything just by runnin. But Id think upgraded injectors and that TS Chip will make you happy, Like I said we had a 95 with 150 horse injectors and that TS Chip and it was nice tow rig, and it got about 21 MPG if you kept your foot of the floor. But if you want anything extra in horse I highly encorage guages, or got a monitor, and I would also put a guage on your High Pressure Oil Pump so you can monitor it and know when it goes, because thats the heart of the fuel system no oil means no runnin. Thats just my 2 cents, but the TS is a good allround programmer, I just havnt used it in the 99's and up trucks.

Gauges are the first thing you buy before a chip even.

Once again what are 150hp injectors?

They are in CC but they like to call them stages. Any stage can be a number of sizes. You need to know exactly what size your injectors are so you can get the correct tuning

okay thanks ill need it i haul 5k every weekend. bts trany is the only way to go. DONT GO NEAR ATS trannys they will rip you out of your money. just beef up your tranny and get bigger injectors and a bigger turbo they make towing injectors if thats what your looking for. go look at swamps website or any of the other site dealers they have a ton of different type of injectors and turbos.

Pick a HP goal and use for your truck... Then people can go from there spending your money. LOL
