Okay. Well I love my 7.3 to peices. Overall I live the body style. The motor is great and couldn't ask for anything better. But shes getting old. And I'm bout ready for a rebuild. However I've been researching "destroking" it as it were. However the only conversion kits I can find are for the newer super duties. I'm looking to do somthing different and the idea of putting a cummins in a ford is an idea I've toyed with since I was little. So what I'm getting at is there a conversion for a 97? If not have you heard of anyone doing it? And was It even worth the trouble??

I know it. But I've always loved the sound of a 5.9. And I know it's not an original idea. But I've never seen one. Thought it would be kind of unique. Bur if you've seen many :/ well that kinda makes me rethink it right there. I love both motors. Can't stand the duramax tho . But both have readily availible performance upgrades. So I'm going off of what I thought would be cool and unique. But apparently not that unique .

I have read a lot of swaps, I'm doing a swap, but I haven't actually seen one yet. You can make it custom just depends on what you want to do.

Only thing I'd drop a 6.0 in is a scrapyard

It would have to be a 6.uh oh just to add to the mess of it all. My vote would be a 1/2 ton mega cab and a big sticker that says." I've Quit cummins now I'm stroken!"
