1996 Ford 350 7.3 turbo engine starts and runs fine for about 45 minutes or until it reaches operating tempature. It kills will not restart until cool down. the proccesser or computer will not let me read datastream and keeps giving me all kinds of different codes like cam sensor or injection control sensor. have allready replaced ICP. I think its the computer can any one help or cofirm?:

Didnt see the thread...

What codes are you getting?

Sounds like an injector issue to me, but without more info I cant help much. If your getting anything from the PCM, its fine.

when I go into datastream the screen comes up blank. the latest code is cam sensor but don`t want to change until i can read data stream. have already replaced IPC sensor. it was leaking and the oil was becoming conductive when it got hot.

Have you checked the fuses? One of them powers the OBD2 port.

What are you using to check codes and data stream?

yea I get some responses from the obd port it reads codes but tells me that it had a failure to communicate but when i back out of that screen and go back in the codes appear. but when i try to read datastream i get a blank screen I think it is the PCM well i know its bad because its not doing what it is suppose to. I couldn`t fine that old pcm so i sent it out to get rebuilt.waiting for it to get back now . I know it could be a cam sensor but i wanted to get a properly functioning pcm first. but i do still think i have other problems. ow and my scanner is the snap-on modus
