Default Oil leak and dip stick

I bought a 1995 7.3 for $1,000. The truck sat for 3 years and the guy didn't even know if it would start. It runs great! 2 problems. The dip stick tube is broken off, and there is an oil leak leaving oil running down the side of the oil filter. I'm guessing that maybe it has a bad oil cooler? And do I need to remove the oil pan just to change out the dip stick?

it might just be the o rings on the oil cooler. and the dipstick tube should slide into the brass piece on the pan. you should be able to get it out.

IH sells a feild repair kit for the dipstick to pan seal
on the oil cooler you can get to it with the ngine in ut you MAY or maynot have to jack the drivers side of the motor up to get it in and out.
