Default Strange knocking in the motor

I was on the gas with my chip turned on and when I let off I here a knocking on the right side of the engine. Or it seems. It's knocks with the rpm's so I know it's the motor. It does on when I let off the gas and not all of the time. Also the truck seems to vibrate more, only when the knocking is happening. Is this a piston or what? Amd how much would this cost?

it's hard to say. you need to run some tests on it to know for sure.

i doubt it's a injector. that's why i said you need to run tests. even tho the SES didn't come on, there still may be codes. i had a dead injector, and 2 really chitty ones in my 94 and not once did it sound like a rod knock.

ok, you're right. the OP never specified if it was a rod knock. i was just assuming that's what it might be...

ya you gotta look into it more to see what is knocking. and where at in the motor, also I just tore down a motor that had a knock in it and it was the piston moving back and forth in the cylinder wall, so it could be a possiblity that the walls are worn out but, do more looking into what is going on

Okiv been driving it for two days. I running Lucas injector cleaner and it seems to have been a little better. Also it doesn't knock alone only when braking after like going up a hill or when I reveres. It's not all the time and never is when I'm gasing the truck only when I'm coasting at speed and start braking. It also seems to be coming from the right of the engine. I don't think it's a serious problem due to no power lose and no noise when gasing the truck. I had my TC replaced in my trans the day this noise appeared but the noise happen after I got it back a couple hours later
