Default F-superduty with many problems

My dad has a 1996 F-superduty flatbed for ranch work. He bought the truck a year or two ago with about 180,000 on it. Bought it for pretty cheap because it already had some of the problems they just seem like they are getting worse and im sick of driving it. First when you start it in the morning it will always start (glowplugs are good and relay i checked) but loads of blue white smoke pour out at first. Whenever it idles it lopes pretty bad and when yuo start it warm it starts pretty quick and all but it always starts differently and idles at about 400rpm for a while. The other night me and my buddy were hauling cattle through the canyon and whenever it has a load pulling a hill it cuts out bad and smoke like a train but were not lugging it because its so low geared were pulling in 5th at 2400rpms at 55mph. when not on a hill truck seems to do fine at these high rpms without smoking or cutting out. Thanks for any help and sorry for the long essay haha im thinkin injectors or hpop? ive never pulled the valve covers to see if they are all pumping oil. is there a way to see if the hpop is still good?

To check the HPOP, you need a scanner that can read ICP and DC%...

It sounds to me like you might have some bad injector orings... Have you checked your fuel filter for any oily residue?

DC is duty cycle. They need to find a scanner and check the things mentioned. It would be a number of things but can't start to cross things off the list till you scan it.

Okay should i take it to the dealer ship to have them scan it? We've taken it to oil stop a few months back and they didn't find any codes but then again idk if they had the right scanner

Also when you are in second and put the clutch in to stop truck idles really rough and low rpms for 5 seconds and then kinda straightens out.

Could be injectors... might be worth getting a scanner like AE that can really go over your trucks... A buzz test would probably be in order here... Compression test might also help your diagnosis... I wouldn't run to the dealership, they have a tendency of being half stupid...

I agree with you! I'll have to do some looking around to find someone with an AE. Is there anything else i can check manually to help slim down the guessing?
