1996 f350 bogging issue
1996 f350 7.3 , 5 speed 350,000 miles
When I take off hard in first it bogs and blows hard blue smoke. Shifting into 2nd it takes off strong and blows black smoke. It also seems weak when pulling a trailer up mountains when the rpms get lower.
The truck uses very little oil. The smoke smells like diesel and burns my eyes. It also smells the same in the morning before warmup. Under normal driving conditions it runs fine without smoke or bogging.
New map sensor, Ipc sensor, fuel filter.
Very little turbo wheel play.
No idea about injector life.
Engine appears to be rebuilt.
Any ideas?

sounds like injectors to me, i just replaced mine after 330,000 miles and it cured it. I had the same symptoms and it would smoke blue really bad in the morning when cold and sometimes have a blue haze when at op temp when idleing it also could be injector orings, i had mine really fail about a year ago and it smoked blue really bad and would bog really bad but it also used alot of oil when that was going on so it sounds more like injectors to me
