Oil bypass kits
I have been looking into some oil bypass kits and one that caught my eye was the oilgaurd kit for the 7.3. I was also looking at the fs=2500 kit. What do you guys think??? Is the fs=2500 any different from the oilgaurd exept for the price? And do these oil bypass systems really do what they say?

I don't know the specifics on the oilgaurd without looking it up but I know the FS filters down to 2 microns. I know the FS cost a bit but it's a good system. It's very comparable to ours.
The main things a bypass does is increase oil capacity. The more oil, the longer it lasts. Same purpose served when people add deep tranny pans and bigger covers on the diffs.
That being said, the real reason to put a bypass on is to run longer intervals and if that's what you want to do, then any of them will help you accomplish that.
