Default Where to start!?

I purchased my dream truck. A 97 powerstroke. I was happy with stock performance at first. I'm ready to kick it up tho. I don't know where to start with the mods. I was told an exaust and down pipe was a nice place to start. Any opinions?? Thanks all.

exhaust is a good place to start, in which it makes it sound meaner, but i just put a chip on my truck yesterday and thats the only ive done so far, so u can basicly start anywhere

Exhaust
Intake
Gauges
Then get a TS chip and drive it.

Your preference really.

EGT gauge is a must. If it's an auto, get a trans temp. Those are pretty key gauges.
