Default 7.3 RELAY 1997

In the past we put 3 relays in . Someone told me to take that fancy cover off that covers fuel bowl & relay it holds too much heat. causing it to go bad.Is this true???????:Thanks:

Sounds like bs to me. I took mine off because I was tired of taking it off all the time to work on it.

I cut slots in the 3 cap nuts so I could take them off with a screwdriver... Pretty fast now. How long are the relays lasting?

if you don't want to spend the money on the high priced gpr from napa, try a gpr109, which is the relay for an older idi, but they work just fine on the obs strokes too, and for around $25

I've never had an issue with the good old GPR 109... I've had the same one now for 3-4 years.
