Default Throttle position sensor

I'm trying to replace my TPS without buying the entire throttle assembly from Ford. I bought a non-Ford one from O'reillys today that had the wrong connector. I believe it is actually for the newer superdutys. I have read on forums that some people claim they work. Are they wiring in a new connector? Does anyone who has actually done this know which wires go to which wires? Are the voltage values the same (Zero throttle at the correct voltage and WOT at the correct voltage)?

After I drove 50 miles and discovered it had the wrong connector, I bought an alternate one listed for the same vehicle (napa) with the correct connector and discovered the voltages were not at specification and it set a code and throttle would not respond.

I would really like to hear from someone who has gone through this... Thanks.
