Any time you apply more power than stock, you are accepting responsibility for what might happen down the line to say your transmission for example.... If you want power, you got to pay to play...

TS chip with custom tunes is the way to go... I suggest the search feature in either of the 7.3 powerstroke sections... You will come up with HUNDREDS of threads on chips...

LOL.... What does he recommend?? TS with custom tunes is the only way to go and is a hell of a lot better than any canned tunes you can buy especially when it comes to transmission strategy. But your buddy most know everything when it comes to diesel...

TS is the only way to go. if you go with it i HIGHLY recommend a Bully Dog shift kit. its cheap and it works great, it will help save your tranny. my stock transmission was toasted when i bought the truck so i never put one in, but we put one in my dads E99 and its been taking abuse very well.
