Is it a 49 state truck or a cali truck?

If 49 state truck, its rated 215 at the crank... Lets assume a 15% driveline loss... Equates to 183hp to the ground for a stock truck...

With your chip, assuming again it is a 49 state truck, add 60hp or so...

I want to say 225hp stock at the crank. With a chip probably 260-280 to the wheels...

I want to say the 97 49 state trucks were rated at 225. I know chase did 207 in a cali truck with intake and exhaust.

OP, look on your valve cover, it will give you the hp rating on a sticker...

I have a non cali-truck, and I'm pretty sure my valve-cover says it's 220hp or 225hp...

It depends on the injectors... Most OBS came with AA's which were 90cc per 1000, 97 cali's came with AB's which were 120cc per 1000...

AA's chiped would put you about 250 or so...

AB's chiped would put you about 270 or so...
