Default what would it take?

so i might possibly have a 97 f-superduty on the way for my next custom project so i'm considering my options with the truck in my sig. it's an 85 with a 94 powerstroke cab and engine 5spd trans. what would it take to get this truck pullin? i figure if i got a nice 185" wheelbase "project crew cab extralong bed" then why not have a toy as well.

Pulling competition? Injectors high pressure oil system upgrade Regulated Fuel Return System the list keeps going and thats just the basics. The next question is this for competition pulling or just at home pulling stuff around on the farm no pickup would touch? If your for competition what class? BTW nice to read your posts again. How are things?

Find the class that fits your budget in your region. I know nothing of the pull competition but the group that develop the products I suggested, will send you on the right path! Joey, Clay, any of them give them a call!

If you are serious about competition pulling, you need to look at the rules... They have rules about turbos and all that...

ok what about 2.6?

"Turbocharger: The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; the inducer bore on the compressor housing may be no larger than 2.6”

2.6 is nothing bigger than a 66mm...

I wish I could be more help but I don't know jack about pulling...

I do know it's not cheap and 10k is a low guesstimate to be competitive.

whats a good 66? it doesnt seem like there's many turbo's out there for our trucks. a lot of them say 99- but if its the same motor i dont see why it wouldnt work unless they changed something
