Glow plug relay. It is located in the just to the left of your fuel bowl... It supplies energy to your glow plugs.

Had the same problem. It was the fuel bowl heater except it was burning fuse #22 disconect wires on fuel bowl and make sure they are not contacting metal tape the ends 97 Obs

Thanks to those of you who helped with suggestions and yes it was a problem with the wiring harness that connects to the fuel bowl heater, the wires are routed to close to the turbo and had melted through causing the short. My Mexican mechanic elimanated one thing at a time, but for 150 dollars he rebuilt my starter, new selenoid, two new relays and wiring harness plus about 6hrs labour. Try that in Canada or anywhere else. So thanks again. daves

You are correct except for fuse 22 is for F series... His is an E series which is why it is #8.

Feel free to do a search on the site... Then post up a thread if you can't find the info you are looking for. We will need more information than that though. Let's try to keep this thread on track.

How many miles does this truck have on it? Any smoke when you are having issues? How long since you last changed the oil?
