Default Rear winch?

Anybody have pics they can post of their rear mounted winch, I'm going to install one on my truck and I have an idea of what I'd like to do, but maybe you guys have done it better or more simply.

Cheers

Nothin guys?!?!? no one here has a winch mounted in the back of their truck?

I don't, but I think your better off just getting a winch mount that goes into the hitch receiver... That way you can remove it when its not in use..

I want to use it for recovery situations and to load things on my trailer... I figured it be more useful then having a winch just on the trailer or just one I have to hook up to my hitch, Id rather just have one mounted under there, wired up, ready to use when ever needed

Is your truck lifted? I would think having it sit below the bumper would do you no good for loading a trailer... I have never seen anything like this so good luck and post pictures if you do decide to build it.

I will, and no it's not lifted... I was going to relocate the spare and put it in that region, and have the fairleads behind the license plate and have the license plate on hinges so I can flip it up out of the way when I need to use the winch... and then the winch will be just above the deck of the trailer

Sounds cool...might want to have some sort of fairlead on the trailer too.

i was gonna suggest exactly what you said. build the bumper, mount it on the back side and have the license plate hinge so it can hide the winch. its above your hitch so you can use it as you said you wanted to for the trailer and it always on the truck, it seems the best option in my mind...
