Could be the VSS. You could try wiping off the VSS (no cleaners); just remove it, wipe it off, and reinstall it.

This would throw a code, too. Checking for codes should be the first thing you do. It provides vital information and gives you a game plan for troubleshooting.

ya im trying to get my boss to buy a scanner so we can check that kinda stuff out. Thanks guys i really appreciate the help

ok changed her out tonight. seems to be fixed. idles smoother and no stalling yet. now on to the vss. took it out and it was pretty clean. put it back in and grabbed the drive line, HOLY BACKLASH. i bet i can get a 1/8-1/4 turn of slop. so next weekend shes gettin torn down. 1 step foward 2 steps back

True, but when you take two steps back, you can easily see the bigger picture.

if the cp sensor does not fix the problem it might be injector pressure regulator, that's what finally solved my problem.

IPR is quite common, but his symptoms lead to a CPS... You can clean the IPR, there is a link at the top of the page for lots of good tech stuff!
