Default 1996 F250 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4

What do yall think of this truck, thinking of buying it.

1996 Ford F250 Super Cab 4x4 Powerstroke 4x4 XLT- 7.3L Diesel, E40D Automatic tranmission, Id guess 6" suspension lift with 37" old style military tires, D60 front/10 1/4 rear, 4x4 works, truck runs/drives, has fancy speakers with sub, interior looks amazing. Problems- Needs bed, has rust of driver supercab door, some rust on very front of hood, someone took the tow mirriors off for what's on it now(I would get tow mirriors and new bed), but other then that nothing seemed to be wrong with the truck. Going to test drive tommrow. Also has 335,### miles roughly. They'd take $4000 for it. Also has cold a/c.

Thank you. New to powerstrokes. But not new to diesel/diesel performance

Any idea of what work has been done to it?
I dont know about $4,000...
When you test drive it be sure to check that both fuel tanks work.

The guy said everthing worked, nothing mechanically wrong. I noticed that theirs an aftermarket air filter right off the turbo, no leaks. Sounded fine when idleing for the 5-10 min's we were talking.

not more then $3500... Too much rust, bed is trashed, bet money it will need a oil pan...

The Dana 60 is a slick deal, but that trucks exterior is hammered.

FYI, those mirrors come factory...

Yea the outside isn't very great, but the interior is awesome, D60 front, full suspension lift 37's with nice rims, tranny/t-case look damn near brand new their so clean.

Why would it need an oil pan?

Also it has holes in the door from having tow mirrors on it?

You can always low ball then work your way up but once you throw out a big number ya cant take it back. Id nit pick the sh*t out of it the offer like 2800 cash and show him the money if he dont take it tell him all you have is 3000 cash money if he dont take give him your number and walk away. odds are if hes had it a while he will call. If not its not really much of a loss but i wouldnt go over 3 grand

I would have to say no more then 3500 for the truck it looks pretty good a little work as for the lift that's it proble only has a add a leaf in the front by the looks of the pick and if it runs good and doesn't seem to make any weird nosies I would go for it

I see the holes on the passanger side, didnt see them on the drivers side, plus the holes on the passanger side are very low for mirrors...

That truck has alot of rust on it, one of the weak points of the 7.3 is the oil pan. check it over very good. Only way to replace the pan is to pull the motor.

For referance, here is my 97 with the factory tow mirrors on it...

Look how close together the holes are and how much higher... Not sure what was mounted there...
