Default glow plug problems

back glowplug tip stuck in hole the outside came out but the tip and core still in and wont budge any ideas would of great help at this time looking from the front its the right hand side

i havent im not working on it the gas mechanic at work is but i will suggest that tomorrow its hung up hard probably time to remove the head

There just so deep that when it happens it sucks...

Might try putting the glow plug back in, tighten it down again and then remove again. It might break it loose!

Put some vice grips on the end of it so there no way for it fall to far into the cylinder and then tap it back in with a hammer till it loosens up a little. Spray PB Blaster around the core and let soak for several hours. Then use the vise grips to work it in and out a little while twisting but be sure you do not get ruff enough to snap it off. You may have to repeat this a few time before it will finally slide out. I have done this several times and it will come out.

thanks for the info guys thats twice this week i have been able to come to the trusty ole diesel bombers for top of the line info. Makes a guy happy when he can help somebody out with the things he learns ON THIS SITE like i said thanks

like dpppower said vice grips and pb blaster, works like a charm
