Default Intake

I think I need another intake. I got a rigged up set, I have a bent peice of 3" pipe and a cone filter on the end. my truck runs real good when cold and after I have been driving a while it bogs down a lot. I figure its because my intake doesnt have an air box and it sucking in hot air from the engine. ny sugestions?

Nothing wrong with a open intake...

What makes it feel stronger when cold is advanced timing due to the cold oil. Let the poor truck warm up a bit before heading down the road.
