So i had a guy randomly come up to me tonight on Facebook and said his ford truck would whoop my cummin's as$. These next things i say are straight from him. its a 96 F350 IDI piped with a turned up fuel pump.

First of all IDI was done in 94, secondly you cant turn up a fuel (lift) pump. Im not sure if its possible to mechanically turn up the injection pump on these either.

Anyway, what im getting at here, is within reason, what all can be done to these trucks without getting into expensive parts to make them faster, and would it beat my 01 Cummins (truck info in sig)with the "said" parts/mods done to that 96 F350 dually 2WD truck.

answer is it would take a good amount to beat your truck, and you can't turn the fuel pressure up much on a DI international haha...and if it's an 94-earlier IDI they were dogs

 

tell him 100 bucks cash will give him a shot at it

There is no way a IDI could even compete with a 5.9, be it a 12v or 24v...

They put out a MAX of 300hp with every mod you can do to them... Just not built for any kind of HP...

 

6.5s with pane, nitrous, and water meth can only make about 300 hp. no way were going to beat your cummins unless the 7.3 is mounted in a go cart
