I do agree fuel is the problem. Now if it is the pump or if it's the injectors if they don't open and spray fuel she will not run start with fuel pump test and work your way forward it could be something simple don't over look that. I know its not a ford I had duce and a half stop running on me it was a cracked fitting that is it keep checking and you will find the answer

check the o ring around the filter its not round but if it's not seated right it can pull air and thats what happened on my duce easy to check pull the filter cap off and make sure its in right. I hope this helps

If you leave it in park and rev it up does it run fine? if so when you put it in gear something might be holding a load on the engine and when you put it in gear it lugs down due to the extra strain... check your fuses
