Default High Pressure Oil Pumps?

i have a 95' 7.3L. i got my hands on a late model 7.3L high pressure oil pump. my question is will the late model pump put out a little bit more pressure than the earlier one?

yes the 17* pump will put out more pressure then your 15*, but you will have to change the internals from the 17 into the 15 case.

I thought it was a direct replacement. I would think that the computer would control the pressure to the injectors and a 17 could provide more volume when needed.

the 95s have a diffrent front cover, and if you dont get a new front cover or put the 17 inside the 15 case all your HPO will back off every time you shut it off.
