Glowplugs on the left bank seem to be dead?
I need some help trouble shooting this before I start unnecessary disassembly.
97, 7.3, almost stock, 185000 miles
If its 20+ outside she might start but if its below that your screwed.
I have Ohm readings on the right side of .8 to 1.2 The left side seems to be an open. I'm thinking burnt wires inside the valve covers?
Thanks,
Bert

I called the salvage yards yesterday AM......No luck finding just the harness. They all claim if it ran when it came in you can't strip parts from the engine.
I found half of the parts I needed at two different dealerships.(30 miles apart) One dealer had the plug ends and the other had the wire harness.
I finished putting everything back together at 8:30 last night. I didn't plug her in last night on purpose. Today its 17 degrees with a stiff wind......and she fired right up with a double glowplug heat up. She was a little loud but I think my neighbors enjoy the smell of raw diesel in the morning. I saw enough blue smoke to cover at least a 1/4 acre.
