Default intercooler setup

Was wonderin what a good tow/hot street ic setup would be. Would a air to water cooler be a good option? Thanks.

An air to air like everyone uses would be easier.

Mount is easy, piping is the harder part.

Would it be worth it just buying a kit. Banks or hypermax.

I think for towing a either water intercooler or air.. just have to run a big enough exchanger to dump the heat with a water set up.... I am trying to locate where to buy intercooler pipes for a 97 powerstroke.... I can make them but why if I can buy them?? anybody knows

Depends on how much you want to spend, I have about $150 into my setup and a kit is $1000+
