Finally got back to the 7.3 changed batteries, checked fuel pressure at the place by the filter 25lbs is tops. New fuel pump only has about 3000 miles. It went out in Houston and a shop there put one on for my son. Is there something he may have left loose to cause the drop of pressure. Ran fine right after the new pump now get no smoke or nothing.

Checked and did everything else you all suggested now at stand still. Would it be best to order another pump?

It's a late 94 with manual trans. It had plenty of boost till this.

Thanks
Alton

Does your tach move while cranking?

The tach doesn't move like it should. It just barely bumps you have to look really hard to see it. The cam sensor was just changed.

Thanks

Sound to me like your not getting fuel to the clyinders. Try checking your high pressure oil pressure. Any check engine lights?

Also charge your batteries over night. It has to spin pretty quick to start. May be the case if your tach is barely moving.

How about your glow plug relay. Not sure what tempatures your in but these engines really rely on glow plugs for starting an clean idle. Does the wait to start light come on?
