Default new mods, old truck??

hey guys I've been around diesels a while and know my way around em decently I've had at least one of each dura max cummins and powerstroke but I recently just bought my first 7.3 and I love it!! it's a 96 f250 2wd auto. it's completely stock an older man had it and never done anything to it besides change the oil and filters. it has 260k on it my question is would you mod it?? I know all the beneficial mods air, exhaust, fuel but would changing a motor that's ran for nearly 20 years without it benefit from it. I know it'll help but just going back on the old sayin if it ain't broke don't fix it.... thanks ahead for the input
