Okay, it seems like when I start the truck it will have the cel on and it will run goofy for a few minutes then straighten out and the cel will go off. Sometimes when driving, it will hiccup and the cel will come on but go after a mile or so. I'll check the icp for voltage or percentage? I've read too much tonight I'm just confused on what's what

Check icp, Duty cycle and voltage. It could be your IPR too?

Okay, we just checked the codes. The truck started up first time and every time. The first thing I did before starting was unplugging the icp. It had oil on the inside of the sensor and on the harness contacts. I started the truck with it unplugged and it started right up. We plugged in the scanner and the ipr psi was right around 1100. And it was at 24%. Icp was obviously at 0 because it was unplugged. I then plugged the icp in and it read .01 to .00 volts and no percentage. Then the code came on 1280 range low icp. The cel was on the whole time. We let the truck run for about 10 minutes.we shut it off and restarted with no problems. We rechecked the ipr. The psi was 1100 while cranking then dropped to 700-750 area and 20%. Icp hadn't changed. Then we shut it off and restarted again. Ipr psi stayed at 700-750 but the percentage dropped to 15%. Icp still nothing.

I should also mention this. The first time we started the truck with the icp unplugged, the only code that appeared was the p0476. Exhaust pressure control valve. Yet, the cel was on. Then I plugged in the icp and read the codes, the exhaust one was still there plus the 1280 icp circuit too low. We shut the truck off and restarted and those two codes stayed but also code p0605 appeared. Internal control module error. The scanner asked if the truck was chipped in the troubleshooting part and said the chip may be causing these problems and codes. Its a bully dog 6pos. I don't know how old it is, it was on the truck when I bought it about a year ago.

I dont know anything about the bullydog 6pos but I look at getting some custom tuned.

The oil in the icp sensor usually happens when they go bad. Might try cleaning the ipr too

Are the readings from the ipr where they are supposed to be?

Okay, any ideas what to do next? Ipr looks good. Should I unplug chip and leave it at that. Then read the codes? Or should I replace icp since oil was in sensor and harness

Can always try it without the chip, might look into getting a new icp as well

Also, I just read that if you unplug the icp, the truck will run because it will set it to a default 700 psi. Is this okay to drive with? Still not 100% sure this is even the problem.

I'm going to unplug the chip and see what codes come up after work.

I personally wouldn't drive with it unplugged
