You will like it. I put one on my 96 and had no issues. It now has 389,000 miles and been on since 150,000.

I purchased the TS Performance 7.3L Power Stroke Switchable Chip (6 Position) Item # TSP1180402 for my 1995 F250 7.3 turbo. I love it. I keep it at the 100HP setting. I read that the 140HP will need stage 2 injectors to get it. I did notice that I had oil leak from around the oil fill cap at 140HP. My plans are to rework the heads with after market head bolts that are longer and will hold up better to increased HP. As far as the power train holding up, I can not get and definitive answer on that. I did have the transmission rebuilt after the front main seal went out. It was reworked with a better torque converter and other parts since I haul a 5th wheel. Truck hauls like dream.

If all your running is a chip you do not need any of that. You might look into a shift kit and a torque converter depending on what was put in it

Head bolts are bad, you want head studs and they are not needed till your pushing about 40psi of boost.
