Best GPR to use?
What is the best glow plug relay to use? I have had a motorcraft and a napa relay die in my 99 7.3L and now I need on for my 97 7.3. Does anyone have the stancor relay and think its worth the money? I got a price for one from the IH dealer around here too, but cant see it being any different from ford's quality

Am I the only one tired of buying a Gpr every 12-18 months? Its like 65bucks a year
sorry for the repost, but I realized that I was interrupting the other thread.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Screw it. Just ordered two white rodgers/ stancor relays from mouser electronics. They are like 53/each, so even if they arent better than ford or IH relays the cost is about the same or less.

**** the relay.
wire a switch to the dash. switch on, glow plugs on. start truck, if very cold let the plugs run an extra couple of seconds, shut em off.
that's what is getting done on my truck. I currently have no power to the relay. Ratyher than **** around with the circuit, I am taking this as a sign to nicely wire in a manual switch. problem solved.
