Ok so i tried tonight installing my ts performance 6 position chip, on my 97 7.3 i did everything like the instructions on their site but the truck won't fire with it plugged in, as soon as i remove it truck starts fine. Any ideas? Does a shop need to reset it? It already had a banks chip in it. Any help appreciated

 

Did you check to make sure all the terminals are clean of the glue crap off the ecu. Mine went in great with no problem.

 

Chip might not have been programmed.

Chip is more than likely burnt to the wrong ecm code. Or wrong transmission. Have you ever swapped trans on the truck or has that been done
