Default Lookin for facts. Cummins for OBS trade

If at all possible i would like the as least amount of biased b.s. as possible. My buddy is wanting to trade me his 1992 f250 5speed 4x4 with a 1996 7.3 swapped in for my 1991 w250 4x4 cummins with the 727 auto. Mine needs body work all around, leaks oil and tranny fluid, interior is beat, tires are shot, a wiring issue fixed, and injectors bled. His needs body work on the left side, tires before spring, electric aftermarket radiator fan wired up and few other things. His has a chip, upgraded turbo and injectors. Mine has 10,000 miles on rebuilt trans and pump work. Do y'all think this would be a good trade or keep the dodge?

You are trading two 20 year old trucks. If you want what he has and he wants what you have. Then go for it...

As un-biased as i can be.. I have owned and drivin a few different powerstrokes and cummins trucks.

I owned a 96 cummins 5-speed, GREAT truck.

Currently own a 97 Crew Cab F350 powerstroke 5-speed. AWESOME truck

My dad has a 94 cummins, younger brother has bought and traded everything from a 99 powerstroke, to an 01 HO cummins 6-speed, to a 92 cummins 5-speed, to a 99 cummins auto and a 96 cummins 5-speed. older brother has a 99 cummins (parted out now) as well a 92 auto and 90 5-speed cummins. Currently just bought an 07 cummins (6.7) with a 6-speed.

I have owned my truck for 4 years, and have pulled all sorts of stuff with it, I have drivin all of my family's trucks and I by far would take my powerstroke over any of them but one. My younger brother still kicks himself in the rear for letting his 99 stroker go, and that is the one i would want, but it had a sh*t ton of mods to it.

It is always fun when we go somewhere and are all hauling our own trailers.. we rag on each other pretty well, but, when its all said and done, i have pics of everyones truck on a trailer hooked behind my ford. It has 240,000 miles on it and runs AWESOME!

Im a dodge guy, love the older muscle cars, always wanted a cummins. I Finally bought one and then sold it cause i started a family and needed more room. GLAD I DID!! couldn't afford a new Crew Cab dodge so i bought a Crew Cab ford... Will never own anything other then a 7.3!

Actually it says 96 7.3 my question was rather or not it was a powerstroke or an IDI, you do realize there's a difference ? :hum

OK so after reading the OP again it's a PS since an IDI wouldn't have a chip.

Yes I know there is a difference, but I haven't come across a 96 idi, but not here to argue or split hairs or say I know everything, I have been wrong before... Was hoping this forum wouldn't be like all the rest I have tried to join where everyone knows everything but yet everybody is wrong at the same time...

I didn't say you were right or wrong as a matter of fact if you read my last post I concluded that it must be a stroke because an IDI wouldn't have a chip. I've also never seen a 96 IDI but wasn't sure if there was such a thing. Take a chill pill now

IDI's were up until 94... 94 had an IDI N/A, IDI turbo and DI Powerstroke...
