Default Difference in injectors?

I just bought a set of injectors for my truck and, with a little research, it generated another question.

My PSD is a '95 non-California truck which would mean single shot injectors. The injectors I bought came from a 96 California truck which could be split shots according to my findings.

Just a few questions:
1. How can I tell if these new injectors are the split shots? Part numbers? Obvious differences?
2. If they are splits, does my programming need to change with the cali injectors?

Planning on putting them in on Friday, unless the programming has to change

Also, are the splits any kind of gain in power or is it just to control compression knock?

Almost forgot! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Post the two letter code at the beginning of each number on the top of the injectors (AA or AB or...) and someone will be able to tell you what you have.

The numbers on the top of the injectors are as follows:
1816187C3
A000978977

Hope that helps. Looking forward to seeing which ones these are

Can you take a picture of the top of the injectors?

I am trying to load pictures now, but I just noticed some other markings on the sid eof the caps.

It reads:
9X-1500
UUUNUDA-9

It says the pictures are uploading, but taking a while. Hopefully they will go thru

One picture didn't go thru. Trying it again.

Didn't work, but while waiting I did a search with the number I have and this is what I came up with:

1994-1998 Ford E-Series, F-Series Fuel Injectors

They are just stock singleshot injectors. This means I should not have any issues with them and programming, right?

There should be a two letter code prior to the 1816187C3 such as the "AA" in AA1816187C3.
Check that code on all 8 injectors and report back.

Got all the injectors put into place, but due to work schedule I had to stop putting the truck together.

I just looked at th injectors and there is not a singe code (AA, AO, etc) n front of the first set of numbers on the top of the injectors. There isn't even enough room there due to the notch for the top screw.

When I did my search for the part number I did find several with the part numbers on the injectors and I found the same results on several web sites.

I posted one of the websites on my last post, but this is not the one site that showed the difference in the part numbers for the california truck.

I believe they are the right injectors so I will finish the install. I'll post what happens when I get it finished

Just heard her run since the injectors got installed. Even though there is still air in the system, it is idling alot better than before. My miss is gone.

I will take it out for a drive this afternoon and try to bleed the system.

How far is recommended to getthe system bled? Other than as far as it takes:P

It's going to take up to 100 miles or so to get the air out... Run the crap out of it...
