First of all I would like to say how I am really appreciative of this forum and I just joined a few moments ago. I just purchased a 94 power stroke with a five speed manual transmission.

Several years ago I had a Volkswagen diesel rabbit with a five speed manual transmission. With the Volkswagen transmission you had several different 5th gear ratios. We changed the 5th gear assembly around for the highest overdrive we could find. I was just wondering if there are different 5th gear options available for my 94?

I was thinking about purchasing a gear vendors overdrive but I ended up with a case of sticker shock!

What can some of you tell me about the ZF5 speed. Thanks so much in advance!

 

I don't know much about them, just know that you have the zf5-42
