Default 97 7.3 injectors, turbo, trans. work, and tuning?

alright guys i could use some help i have a 97 7.3 4x4 auto and i want some more power but nothing to crazy. its my daily driver, and doesnt tow much i just want some more power. as it sits now it has factory exhaust straight piped, TS 140, DIY intake, and an "upgraded" transmission less than a year old shifts pretty hard ive been told the upgrade was a better torque converter, and a shift kit of some sort.

I want some injectors, but baby swamps, stage 1s, or stage 2s i dont know yet i could use some advice. Id like to be able to drive it for awhile before i have to upgrade my HPOP. but when i do which is my best choice?

I'd also like to have a 66mm turbo eventually too but do i buy a drop in or just have mine rebuilt?

what will the trans. hold up too if im relatively easy on it? i do alot of highway driving currently.

And finally what tunes should i go with?

I'd appreciate any input im given.

The baby swamps or stage 1's are going to be your best bet if you are just looking for a little kick. Stage 2's are typically an injector that will want other supporting mods done at the same time like efuel, turbo, hpop, etc...

D66, don't bother reworking your factory turbo..

Hard to say here. Only you know how your truck shifts...

Up to you, call the tuners and talk to them. I like my TW tunes but it's the only tuner I've ever used and many people on this forum have only ever used one tuner so you won't get good answers here, just nutswingers telling you what they run...

I'd appreciate any input im given.

Oh, and I hope you have gauges... Pyro at the very least...

My trans is a factory replacement with about 60k miles on it... has been hanging with the stage 1's for about 10k miles and a year and a half or so... Only issue I'm dealing with now is a leak when the fluid gets warm. Going to drop the trans in a few weeks and replace the front seals... as far as shifting, it's doing fine...

IMO, water meth isn't a power adder. It is a way of controlling high egts... You "shouldn't" have a problem with some stage 1 sticks, d66 and good tunes...

I have them, they work really well. I have stock ts tunes (need to get retuned just hasnt happened) but WOT i can hit 32 PSI and i hit around 1490*. I could use an intercooler turbo and HPOP though.
