The Cummins is a far better engine than the Ford one will ever be. The 6.7 Ford is nothing more than a quick and dirty copy of GM's 4.5L Duramax.

I do love the design of Ford's new v8 Diesel. I have to wait couple of more years before commiting to it.

About the 6.7, I got over 80K on my RAM 3500 so far with no issues, of course FYI, I have got ride of all emmission crap, and I am using a Smarty 67ME. I get on average about 18MPG. The power is very impressive. And the new transmission is just solid. I do love the exhaust brake with toe option.

Thanks guys for the info, a few guys around town here have been trading their 6.7 CDTs in for 5.9s or 2011 PSDs. A buddy of mine has a 6.7 cummins and i would say its pretty nice but he has had alot of emissions issues with it and the guys a dodge dealer straght up said you cannot let those trucks warm up in the cold becuase it will plug those dpf filters. I kinda think thats stupid how you cant let it warm up in the morning but idk if its needed on the newer diesels, im used to the old powerstrokes and we always let them run for 10 minutes when its cold before we drive them. Iv drivin both 2011 PSD and CTD and the ford seems to be a little more jumpy off the line and the cummins seems like it has turbo lag at low end and the new duramax is a whole other story, i was not impressed at all with it, it was a nice truck though.

I had a 08 6.7 cummins and loved it h&s made it come alive but I sold it and bought a 2012 king ranch and I haven't had a problem yet seems to have good power for a stock truck and by far the nicest interior in any truck I've seen. Drove a buddies 2011 LML which is tuned and a delete pipe nice truck but not the least bit impressed even tuned

hahaha Im feeling some kind of mind connection here, ARP is making a killing in the last 10 years

But realistically, the new ford is farther than the cummins at this point. Even though a lot of people dont like having to refill the urea, the truck gets a solid 18-20 highway with emissions stuff in tact. Turbo problems are the most Ive seen on the new ford but they are on top of it and are replacing the turbos with new ones

The same way they handled the 6.0's "problem".

Really, the problem for the 6.7 is that the turbo is extremely tiny for 400hp. Its got two compressor wheels, but the turbine they use isn't big enough to drive just one of them efficiently. Thats why they had to add a wastegate even though its a VNT design.

Um no, the fact that they actually fixed the problem with the new redesigned turbos means they are at least fixing the problem unlike how no one knew how to fix the 6.0s the first time around when they first came out. Most of the new trucks dont even have the turbo problem and its more of an annoyance than say your HG's blowing or turbo self destructing.
