Sad check engine light

Any ideas on how to get rid of a check engine light? I installed a S&B cold air intake for my 2009 F-250 6.4. It runs great, but the check engine light came on after 30 miles. I'd appreciate any suggestions in order to fix this problem.........

Put the factory air filter back & see if the check engine light turns off. If it does call S&B & tell them their cold air intake is defective.

As gun said above.
If it clears the code, exchange for Banks CAI, you'll be happy you did.

Mine did this periodically after S&B. It's a DPF below efficiency threshold code most likely. It's a phantom code that causes no harm. I have a Spartan so I cleared it whenever it came up. I take it you still have DPF on. get that joker off with tuner and problem goes away. S&B really is the best CAI available for performance, fuel efficiency and particulate filtering IMHO. I did tons of research before purchase and saw some pretty bad things about AFE letting too much dirt in. My fuel mileage is up almost 2 MPG since install, and before I put on CAT/DPF delete.

My check engine light came on and when I checked the code it came up as "particulate filter out of tolerance".

I cleared the code and it hasn't come back but I am not sure what the Particulate filter is.

Any info from anyone?

Thanks.

This message has yet to appear after DPF delete and Spartan tuner 2 weeks ago.

basicly the code is caused from the filter flowing too much air (map sensor seeing too high readings) and then when it goes to regen the regen temps are too low.. which is greatly afected by the intake due to the engine firing on the exhaust stroke as aposed to a remote location in the exhaust like the larger diesel engines do.. (detriot,cummins,cat,etc...)

The code comes up because there not enough restriction to the sensor. Same thing happened on my S&B chip.
