well what do you want to know exactly?? seems like it's going to be a good motor. they had a slight programming issue with the first release but have since taken care of it.

I have a friend that just bought 2 of them for his company. He uses them to pull his tractors and he swears by them. He has had Dodge and Chevy's and he thinks his new Fords are the best of the 3.

Of course he is comparing the older Dodge and Chevy's to the newer Ford.

Sorry about it being so brad of a question. Well I would like to know it they are have some of the same issues like the 6.9 CTD (i know its like comparing apples to organes), I havent been able to keep up with the new motors since i sold my old 7.3 which i think that is one of the best motors to this day, the reason i ask is cause im gettin out of the Army in couple years and goin to start hauling again mainly horses but i want a good solid truck other than my 1978 Ranger. So any advice, opinions anything would be great.

thanks

I would personally still stick to the newer 6.0s if your going to be buying alot of fuel for hauling...the 6.4s are getting poor milage but maybe they will address this on the 09s.

The 7.3l will get better fuel economy, but the 6 liter will make more power cheaper. If your looking to keep this truck realatively stock then I would ask again in a couple years when your ready to buy. Who knows what the 6.4 will be like when you get out of the Army. p.s. than you for your service.

i just talked to my Diesel mechanic yesturday (I have a leaking ICP sensor)and hes seen very few problems from the 6.4s. Still hes wondering why the fuel milage is so poor. He says that is simply in the programming and can't figure out why ford doesn't do something about this program that is only getting 8-10 mpg.
